Jagamaya Shrestha-Ranjit

Jagamaya is a senior lecturer in nursing at AUT. She holds an undergraduate degree in nursing and midwifery from Tribhuvan University, and a master’s and PhD in nursing from the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on community-led participatory research that empowers ethnic minority communities to co-design initiatives for promoting their health and wellbeing. She has led several strengths-based community participatory research projects with proven, sustainable outcomes. Her research also explores social justice, health equity, women’s and child health, and pain assessment and management.
